Rotary Club Young Photographer Competition

The Exhibition of the Primary phase of Young Photographer Competition was officially opened on Tuesday 17th March in the Gallery by Mr Downing. The competition is sponsored by the Rotary Club and involved Year 6 students from Caroline Chisholm School. The theme for this year was ‘Light up the Community’ and inspired some very creative interpretations from the students. Ben Gregory-Ring, freelance professional photographer and ex-student was the official judge and was very impressed with the quality of the photographs submitted. All participants received a certificate, with the winning entrant and runner up receiving photography books, presented by the President of the Rotary Club. The winner this year was Jacob Grant and the runner up was Christy Gillert. Jacob will now represent CCS in the District Competition and his name will be engraved on the Shield. The students attended the event with their parents and family members and the evening was a great success for all concerned.
