Industrial Action on Thursday 24th April

Dear Parent

I write to let you know the arrangements in school on Thursday:

Primary phase – all children in school as usual.

Years 9 to 12 – All students should come to school as usual. A number of students may find that they have one lesson which is supervised by a senior member of staff rather than taught. A small number of Year 12 classes may be asked to work without supervision. In all such cases, students will continue with their exam preparations. Students with special needs will have their usual support. Most classes are not affected by these changes.

Years 7 and 8 – The majority of classes will continue as normal. However, some students will miss either a morning or an afternoon session of school, because of the industrial action. Where this is the case, I am writing to those families with specific guidance. Children affected will bring home a separate letter on Tuesday 22nd April. I will also put a copy of the letter in the first class post.

Thank you for your understanding in these matters.

Yours sincerely
Tony Downing
Principal
