CCS Success at British Schools Rhythmic Gymnastics

On Saturday 7th June 2008, a group of girls entered the British Schools Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition representing the school in either a ball or rope duet.

There were 16 pairs in the level 1 ball duet category and H Drury (year 7) and L Parker (year 9) gave a fantastic performance and won a well deserved gold medal to make them British Schools Champions. They were in perfect time with each other and demonstrated a strong partnership with a smile on their faces throughout the routine.

In the level 2 competition for more experienced gymnasts, A Blackbourn and J Tague (both year 7) showed off their skills in a complex rope duet and came away with a silver medal.

There were great performances from L Bird and S Langer, M Blunt and J Brook & G Brooks and S Brooks in what was their first competition experience as they only started rhythmic gym this year. All the girls should be very proud of their achievements.
