Northampton Festival of Performing Arts

Northampton Festival of Performing Arts – Two groups from Caroline Chisholm School took part in the Northampton Festival of Performing Arts this year. The Brass Band and Choir both competed in seperate classes at the Festival on Sunday 26 April, the Brass Band were awarded a third place prize and the Choir awarded second place. Several students also entered solo classes and small ensemble classes.

G Lawrence (Year 8) took part in a solo class and was awarded a first place certificate
M Flavin (Year 8) took part in a solo class where she was awarded third place
A Malone (Year 7) and M Flavin (Year 8) competed in a duet class and they won second place.
H & N Mackinnon (Year 11) competed in a duet class and won first place.
W Hazell (Year 7) competed in a solo and duet class, winning second place in the latter.
S Walters (Year 10) took part in a solo class and won third place.
H Walters (Year 7) played in a solo class and won first place.
J Henry (Year 11) came first in the open Shakespeare solo acting class, won second place in the open set poetry class and won the overall most promising senior actor award for Northampton
E Smith (Year 7) performed in a solo class and was awarded a ‘Very Good’ category.
