On a windy Tuesday afternoon CCS lost the toss and were put in to bat. S.Hughes and M.Hodgkinson got the total moving along nicely to 33 for 1 off 6 overs and then the collapse began. The usually reliable K.Patel was caught for a duck and a succession of single figure scores followed. The modest batting total of 79 for 9 was always going to be difficult to defend and despite K Patel and S Hughes stemming the flow of runs and the team getting one of the opposition openers out for a duck, the opponents turned on the style and achieved the total required with 5 overs to spare. The team bowled and fielded well and if they repeat this in the next game but register a few more runs then they will have every chance of a win.
