Run a mile for Sport Relief March 2010

Dear Parents and Students

You may be aware of the recent publicity for Sport Relief which has been advertised in the media of late.

The PE Department at Caroline Chisholm School promoted this event during the last Sport Relief two years ago and our students raised a substantial amount of money that was distributed to good causes both home and abroad. We would like to support this cause again by holding a Community Sport Relief fun run for the students, teachers and parents in the Caroline Chisholm Cluster (Wootton Primary, Preston Hedge’s Primary, Woodland View Primary School and Caroline Chisholm Primary and Secondary).

The event will take place on Sunday 21st March 2010.

The fun run will take place on the CCS nature trial and school field. There will be one start time for all at 10.30 am. Serious runners wishing to run a longer distance i.e. three miles are welcome to do so.

The event is purely for fun with the sole aim of bringing the community together, and to raise money. I encourage all participants to wear an item of red – fancy dress is also an option. You may run, walk, jog, juggle, skip, push a pram or attach yourself to a friend/and or family member, use your imagination!

We will collect the entrance money of £1 per person on arrival at the secondary school reception however you may contribute more if you so wish. All of the proceeds will be sent directly to Sport Relief.

Thank you for your support with this event and I look forward to seeing you on 21st March.

Yours in sport
J Rich
