The sun is shining in North Wales! Not long after arrival everyone tucked in to sausage and mash in preparation for the evening activities. Mr Gatehouse reports that the first overnight expedition was a success. On Monday evening, after a long walk over challenging terrain, the first group pitched their tents (eventually!) and lay snug in their sleeping bags listening to the sound of the midsummer wildlife – all’s well!
After a quiet night (in the centre) a hearty cooked breakfast was enjoyed by everyone. Y6 all participated in the Raft Building Challenge down at the harbour. All but one group managed to complete the challenge and paddled successfully across the estuary- sadly one raft was not entirely sea worthy due to some minor design build faults- but great fun was had by all!
Everyone is well and enjoying the lovely weather and fresh Welsh air!
Log in tomorrow for the latest news from Y6 in the wilds of north Wales.
