The raft building went well yesterday. The children enjoyed pulling together to build themselves some sturdy rafts. Each group designed, built and then floated (not in all cases mind) their rafts in the scented waters down by the harbour. Following yesterday’s lunch, the groups each experienced some different activities including archery, bush craft and orienteering.
Last night’s overnight camping expedition went well and Miss Prior reported that everyone was settled by midnight. This morning the campers organised themselves well – particularly Michael, who displayed excellent sleeping bag packing skills!
All was fine this morning. Everyone ate a hearty breakfast. The inter-group team challenge takes place this afternoon which promises to be a close run thing. Weather overcast and mild. Hoping that the sun will make an appearance later this afternoon.
More news tomorrow.
