Day 12 – Wednesday 3rd November 2010
To everyone’s delight the sun came back out today! After breakfast we headed to Circular Quay and boarded a ferry over to Manly. Once there we collected our bikes and set off along a cycle trail through Sydney Harbour National Park stopping off at a beach and viewpoints along the way. Having put our leg muscles to the test by cycling up some mammoth hills we were very grateful to finish the ride by cycling downhill all the way to the beach. The whole group agreed that Manly Beach was fantastic and we all preferred it to Bondi Beach. After lunch we made the most of the sun by enjoying the golden sands and paddling in the ocean before taking the ferry back to the city. We then made our way to Darling Harbour where we enjoyed our last dinner as a group in a great restaurant overlooking the harbour.
Unfortunately tomorrow is when we board our flight back to the UK although we have managed to squeeze in a little shopping time in the morning to spend our leftover Australian dollars. We will be flying out tomorrow afternoon which will be 6.30 in the morning in the UK and are scheduled to be back at school on Friday at approximately 9.30 – 10.00am.
