INFORMATION EVENING FOR PARENTS ABOUT DRUGS, GANGS AND KNIFE CRIME
The School will be hosting an informal information evening about drugs, gangs and knife crime on Thursday 17th February (7.00 to 9.00) in the school lecture theatre. In addition to the presentation about these issues there will be an opportunity for discussion and questions. The evening will be led by Glen Banks (Youth Crime consultant) who spent 13 years working in the prison service and now works with schools and other organisation to reduce teenage knife and gang crime.
The media often report cases of stabbings and gang crime, and the fact that in many instances parents were unaware of their children’s involvement in these events. The presentation given by Glen is hard hitting with some graphic images included, but is extremely informative. Further details about the speaker can be found at the following web link http://glenbanksycp.co.uk/#
If you intend to come to this evening, please could you reply to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 4th February.
