Year 9 Cricket v Guilsborough 16th May

CCS won the toss and the team talk prior to the game was very positive.  It was suggested we would pick our shots and ensure we don’t get out early doors.

Sure enough this was kept to with ensuring a straight bat played every shot in the first 3 overs, the run rate slower than anticipated.  S Stevens was out with a caught and bowled by their opening bowler in the 4th over.  A Lyons continued his anchor role and defensive position.  We completed all 18 overs with only 4 outs. The score 48 – 4 not as impressive as we had hoped.

Guilsborough came into bat very confident and hit someterrific shots finding the boundary on several occasions.  Guilsborough won the game after 8 overs.  With S Stevens having a maiden over and taking a wicket with bowled and caught.

Result – Guilsborough victory

Battting Man of Match: Dy Patel
