Year 8 Rugby v Quinton House – Tuesday 2nd October

Despite losing nearly half the squad to the Year 8 Science trip, the Year 8 Rugby team fulfilled their fixture with Quinton House thanks to three year 7 students stepping in at late notice. This still meant that CCS had to start the match with 14 players.

A superb first half display of attacking rugby led to a 27 nil half time score. CCS went down to 13 players for 10 minutes early in the second half due to injury and displayed a solid defence to deny the opposition a score. When CCS returned to their full compliment, their attacking rugby returned and 3 more tries (one converted) completed the impressive win; 44-0.
