I am pleased to inform you that we have added the next half term’s homework to Insight. You will be able to see the homework that has been set for this half term until Christmas. The individual homework tasks will have deadline dates so while you will be able to see all tasks until Christmas, they will all not need completing at once. Students also have access to Insight so they will be able to see the tasks set in advance to help them manage their time more efficiently. The students will still be using their planners to record the homework as and when the teacher sets it in class to help the students with their organisation so please still check their planners regularly.
There is a dedicated section on our website under Student Phases/ Secondary labelled Homework. (http://www.ccs.northants.sch.uk/secondary/homework/) Here you will be able to see an overview of homework to be set over that half term. There is also a link to login to Insight so that you will be able to see the individual tasks and deadlines for your child. To see this you will need to:
- Input your user name and password provided by School for student reporting purposes.
- If you have forgotten your user name or password details, please email School at email@example.com for a password reset.
- Once you have access to Insight, ignore the ‘change password’ prompt unless you wish to do so.
- On your homepage you will be able to see a list of homework tasks that have been set and their deadlines.
- Please do not hesitate to contact the school if you have any issues logging on to insight.
As you will see above, the tasks that are due in within the next week will be shown. There will be a high number of new tasks showing (in the case above 53) owing to the fact that all tasks for the next half term have been placed on insight. The tasks will always have a set date so you will know when the tasks should be completed. They will also indicate the amount of time that should be spent on the task. You may also see “Submission in Class” highlighted under the details per task. This means the homework task should be handed in to the teacher in the way specified by the member of staff. For example, this may mean completing the work on paper or in their exercise book and handed in during the lesson or it may need to be emailed to the member of staff.
There may be occasions when events in school mean that homework deadlines need to be modified to suit the needs of individual classes. We will endeavour to edit the dates on Insight; however, in these instances students will update the deadlines in their planners – again reinforcing that the planners are still an essential tool for organisation.
We hope that by placing our homework on line you will be better informed of all tasks set and you can support your son or daughter with time management to complete the tasks on time and to the best of their ability.
