STEM Event: Big Bang National Event – Birmingham NEC
Wednesday 11 March 2015
As part of the on-going STEM events organised at school, we have been fortunate to secure free tickets to The Big Bang, National Show at the NEC in Birmingham.
All pupils would benefit from this experience, but especially those who are taking STEM subjects as part of their Year 10 options. The full day event focuses on all of the STEM subjects and looks at what’s new in Science and Engineering.
The coach will leave at 8.00am prompt on Wednesday 11 March 2015 and students should meet in the LRC by 7.45am. Students will be required to wear uniform and will need to take lunch with them. It is not advisable to take large bags with them to the event. Students will be divided into smaller groups and will have periods of unsupervised time during the day. We hope to return to school around 4.00pm depending on traffic.
We are requesting a voluntary contribution, of £9 towards the cost of the coach to and from Birmingham – tickets to the show are free. Payment should be made using ParentPay, by February 4th 2015 at the latest. To confirm your child’s place on this trip please make payment via www.ParentPay.com. Please note that where parents use ‘ParentPay’ to pay for visits that take place out of school, this will be regarded as parent consent for your child to take part in this visit.
