As part of Caroline Chisholm School’s commitment to ensuring communication to parents is thorough and effective, we have now set up a system on Insight which will allow you to access your son/daughter’s daily achievement or behaviour points. If your child has done something above and beyond in lesson, the teacher has the ability to recognise this approach to learning by rewarding achievement points. If, however, your child has not met the expectation set for lessons, behaviour points may be allocated. You now have the opportunity to access this information daily.
Please log on to Insight via the CCS website. In the column on the left-hand side, you will see the heading Conduct. Click on Conduct and three sub-headings will appear; Achievement, Behaviour and Report. By selecting Achievement or Behaviour, you will be able to access the points assigned, the teacher who assigned them, and the specific achievement or behaviour displayed in lesson.
All tutors and heads of year are accessing this information daily and are using it to begin discussions with students regarding their achievements or areas to improve. Teachers or heads of year will contact home, if further discussion needs to occur. Likewise, if you have any queries regarding the information provided, please contact the tutor or the subject teacher.
Effective communication between parents and the school is an incredibly important factor to aid in your child’s progress and success.
