In a year where GCSE results have fallen significantly, Caroline Chisholm has produced another set of really impressive GCSE results. This year 79% of students obtained an A*-C grade in both English and maths, one of the best set of GCSE results ever for the school. We are hoping that this will rise to 80% in the coming weeks.
In total 27% of GCSE entries were at either A or A*, with 56% of entries receiving at least a B grade which are both records for the school. The average grade across all subjects was a B grade. Other impressive statistics were that 85% of students obtained a C+ grade in English with an remarkable 27% obtaining an A or A* grade. 84% of students obtained an A*-C in maths, with massive 32% of students obtaining an A or A* grade.
There was a fantastic atmosphere here at results day, with ecstatic students queuing up to confirm their place in our 6th form. In conjunction with the fantastic A and AS level results last week, it clearly shows that Caroline Chisholm School continues to go from strength to strength.
