As part of the PE Department at CCS’ Sport relief effort we are aiming as a Sixth Form, Staff and you as parents to try and complete 1,000,000 steps between the 17th-23rd March. To take part in this effort all you have to do is download the free Sport Relief App and connect your fitness tracker (fitbit, apple watch, the phone itself) to the app. We are targeting Sixth Form, Staff and yourselves as parents as you have to be 17 years old or older to download the app (part of the T & C’s). Nearer the time we will send out the link via school coms to join the ‘CCS Sport Relief Challenge’. As well as taking part in the challenge we welcome people to support the effort by donating to the CCS Sport Relief ‘just giving page‘ with all the money raised going to Sport Relief.
In addition to this we will be completing a ‘Sport Relief Mile’ on Wednesday 21st March, Please see below for further information:
Year 11 & 12: These students will complete their mile during tutor time with their tutor
Year 9 & 10: These students will be completing the mile at 3pm with their Period 6 teacher
Year 7, 8 & 13: These students are welcome to come and complete the mile at 3.15pm when lessons finish
and therefore may be a little later arriving home than normal.
Primary Phase Pupils (Year R-6): We would love as many of our primary phase pupils and parents to come and
complete the mile together as a family. Parents are welcome to collect their children from their classrooms at 3.15pm
and take them up to the school field to complete the mile. If you have a child in Year 5/6 who usually walks home
without adult supervision and you would like to allow them to walk the mile and then walk home alone, please email
your consent to the primary office. Children in all other primary year groups should be accompanied by a parent/carer.
Please ensure that you and your child have suitable footwear as the field may be muddy. There will be opportunities
for face painting thanks to Nicky’s Fancy Faces! Please come along and join in the fun.
