Successful post Sixth form options evening

On Tuesday 11th June we held an information evening for year 12 students and parents regarding options post sixth form. The event had over 120 parents and students who attended the event and got expert advice from Holly Sturgess from ASK apprenticeships and Mike Nicholson the Director of Student Recruitment and Admissions from Bath University on the potential educational routes that students can follow after finishing their A levels. In addition to this Dr Carter also provided the audience with key information around the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), including its valuable role in University and apprenticeship applications and the key personal and academic skills required to excel with this qualification. The evening forms part of the Sixth Form teams current focus on students next steps after they leave sixth form in the summer of 2020, with the next planned activity being a day working with the staff at Barclaycard helping the students to see potential career paths in large organisations and the recruitment process used by large organisations.
