Our CCS Year 5 & 6 Tennis team travelled to Moulton College to compete at 'the biggest day of school sports in the county' - the Summer School Games. A week prior they qualified with a strong performance in a group competition with 8 other local schools, the children were excited and ready to compete against the other top qualifying teams in the county.

The children took part in 10 different tennis skills activities under a strict time limit. Each activity completed gave each child an individual score which was incorporated into a total final score for their school across the whole day.

After four hours of 10 high-intensity activities the children had given everything for CCS, performing with great skill and determination as well as supporting each other and encouraging the other teams to do their best. The scores were checked and verified, and the waiting was over, now for the results!!

CCS placed 1^st in the County, outscoring the other top 5 qualifying schools in Northamptonshire!!

All 10 of the team were tired and exhausted from their efforts until they heard CCS’s name being called for 1^st PLACE and cheering with excitement they all found the energy to run down to the stage to collect their trophy for winning the event.
