Mr Phil Aston

"I am one of the few staff that remain from the initial school opening in 2004. I was appointed at this point as Faculty leader for Humanities, but also took on the role of co-ordinating PSHE across the school.

In 2008, I was appointed as an Assistant Principal and have continued in this role ever since, leading on a number of different areas including, curriculum, assessment, exams and KS4 raising standards. I have line managed most faculty teams at some point throughout this time and presently provide the leadership link with Art and IT. In addition to my class teaching, my current role is leading the Sixth Form and the excellent team of staff that work in this area. This has been a new and exciting challenge for me and the changes we have made to date seem to have a had a positive impact."

I have recently completed my NPQH and I am committed to helping all students at the school to become high performing learners."

"I have worked at CCS since 2006.  I teach Maths, Business and Finance.

I work with those children who are in receipt of Pupil Premium, my team ensure that these students receive the additional resources they are entitled to.  We offer support for all pastoral needs.

I have overall oversight of careers within the school, I work closely with local businesses to offer workshops and guidance to support students in pursuing their desired path.

Timetabling is perhaps the most challenging element as I have to ensure that all lessons are co-ordinated, staffed correctly and have the requisite number of students in."

Mrs Kathyrn Wittich-Jackson

"Having joined CCS in September 2005, I have seen it grow and develop into a school that I am incredibly proud to work in and absolutely love.  I really enjoy the rapport between staff, students and parents and the teamwork mentality that makes CCS such a special place to be.  I am very fortunate to have had opportunities to further my career here, starting in my second year of teaching, going onto to be 2nd in faculty and eventually Faculty Leader for PE, and now as Assistant Principal.

I am dedicated to ensuring that CCS is a safe and welcoming place for staff and students to come into each day and ensuring that they get every opportunity possible to achieve and be the best they can possibly be.  I want our students to leave here as well-rounded individuals, with the life skills, academic knowledge and self determination to follow their dreams and pursue, with confidence, whatever the next chapter of their lives has in store for them.  It has been extremely rewarding to keep in touch with former students and see them fly high in their endeavours and continue to be successful in whatever path they decided to follow.  I hope that continues for many years to come."
