Students study the action adventure film genre and learn to analyse its conventions in preparation for the exam at the end of Year 11.

Spring Term

Popular Music : A study of representations (controlled assessment) 30%

A unit based on the current practices in the music industry. It focuses on the ways artists are represented and marketed. Students are required to produce a portfolio of evidence including a comparative assignment, research and planning, and practical production.

Introduction to advertising

A study of advertising techniques and strategies in preparation for the controlled assessment in Year 11.
