A huge congratulations to two of our new Year 7 students, Albert and Dara, who have achieved incredible success in youth flag football.

Both Albert and Dara play for the Northants Ducks U11 team, who enjoyed an unbeaten season before finishing as the top seed in their division and progressing to the national finals at the Nick Newbold Stadium in Coventry on Sunday 13th September.

Playing in front of a busy stadium of supporters, the Ducks faced the Sheffield Giants in their first game, securing an impressive 56–0 victory to progress to the final, where they took on the reigning champions, the London Fruitbats.

The Ducks went on to win the final 35–24, becoming the 2026 National Champions for Youth Flag Football!

Albert played a key role in the victory, making some incredible touchdown catches as wide receiver, while Dara made some fantastic plays in defence. Albert was also selected as MVP for the U11 teams on the day – a fantastic individual achievement.

We are incredibly proud of Albert and Dara and their teammates for this outstanding achievement.
