We are an all-through school, supporting children from ages 4–19. Please click a phase tile below to learn more, or scroll down for further information.
Our application form for 2026/27 is now open: https://ccs.applicaa.com/inyear2026
We have grown substantially since opening our doors in September 2004 and are currently home to in excess of 2000 students. Demand for places at our school is high, but as an all-through school, students that are admitted to our primary phase and remain until end of Year 6, automatically transition into Year 7 without the need for parents to re-apply.
Our published admission numbers (PANs) for our transition years are:
As well as the transition to Early Years Foundation Stage (Reception) and Year 7, we always welcome applications from students who wish to request an in-year transfer. For in-year applications, where a year group is full, we operate a waiting list, which lasts until the end of the academic year for which the application is made. The waiting list is ranked according to our oversubscription criteria, which can be found in our Admissions Policy 2026/27 at the foot of this page. If you wish to keep your child on the waiting list for any subsequent academic year, you must re-apply.
All applicants, including those on the waiting list where an in-year place becomes available, are considered and allocated a space in accordance with our admissions criteria. Our current admissions criteria for each phase of our school can be found within our Admissions Policy at the foot of this page.
Caroline Chisholm School co-ordinates all its own in-year admissions to the school. If you would like to submit an in-year application for 2026/27 academic year, please visit: https://ccs.applicaa.com/inyear2026
If you have applied for, but have been unsuccessful in obtaining a place for your child at our school, you have the right to appeal for a place.

There will be opportunities for visits to the school for transition year groups (Reception, Year 7 and Year 12). These opportunities will be at times relevant to the various admission deadlines applicable. The school will also hold an open evening for Year 7 and Year 12 entry prior to the relevant application deadline in the application year.
Visits to the school for in-year applications are available once an applicant has been allocated to the school following a place being made available.
