Year 7 Singing Star!

We are delighted to share the recent success of Year 7 student Emily, who has a passion for the performing arts!

Emily has loved dancing, acting, and singing since she was little. She started her dance training at the age of four, beginning with ballet, modern dance, and musical theatre. It wasn’t long before she realised her love for acting and singing, and she embraced every opportunity to nurture these skills.

Supported by local Performing Arts college, Art1, and Theatre College Top Hat over the years, Emily's talent has flourished in musical theatre, drama, singing and dance. Most recently, she passed her LAMDA - Acting exam with distinction (in December 2024) and ABRSM Grade 2 Singing exam (in March 2025); she also participated at Milton Keynes Festival of the Arts in February 2025, where she received 2nd place at Solo Drama.

In the coming months, Emily will continue to showcase her ever-growing talent. First up, in May at the Northampton Festival of the Performing Arts performing a solo drama, prepared reading and memorised prose. Taking the next level of her LAMDA - Acting exam in June. As well as taking the stage by storm at the Top Hat Theatre School year end show - 'There is no place like home' at Royal and Derngate Theatre.

We wish Emily every success in her upcoming events and exams, we've no doubt you will continue to excel and look forward to hearing how you get on!
