    Published 04/06/25, by Autumn Wilson-Haywood

In their first match of the season, the Year 7/8 boys displayed fantastic resilience, teamwork, and determination throughout a spirited contest against NSB.

There were several encouraging performances, with some confident batting early on helping CCS set a competitive total. H. James led the charge with an impressive innings, earning him the Player of the Match award for his composed and skilful performance at the crease.

In the field, the boys worked tirelessly as a unit, showing great communication and commitment. Team captain S. Bhat set the tone with his leadership and energy, keeping spirits high and the fielding sharp.

Despite their efforts, NSB managed to chase down the total to claim the win. However, there were plenty of positives to take forward, and the team can be proud of their performance. With this promising start, CCS will look to build on the experience and come back stronger in their next fixture. On to the next game!

After a fantastic cup run for our U18 boys, things unfortunately came to an abrupt end on Monday when we were outclassed and defeated by Moulton in the final. Congratulations to Moulton!

Despite not taking home the win, the boys have played incredibly well throughout the season and should each be very proud of themselves. A special mention to our three Year 13s who have supported many matches throughout their time at CCS. It has been a great joy watching you play.
