Eleven students successfully qualified from the district athletics event and competed against the best athletes in Northamptonshire at the Northamptonshire Schools County Championships. Following on from the County Championships, athletes that placed in the top two advanced to the next round - The Mason Trophy. There were notable performances at the Mason Trophy event where athletes from Northamptonshire competed against 9 other counties including; Warwickshire, West Midlands, Hereford & Worcestershire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. CCS Students, M. Lee and S. El-Wakeil performed brilliantly, placing 5th and 7th respectively in the Javelin and 400m.  Meanwhile, J. Jessamy won her 100m race in a great time of 12.22.
