Year 12 (Sixth Form)

 

Thank you to all who viewed our Virtual Open Event for Sixth Form on Wednesday 19 January 2022. All Sixth Form applications (internal and external students) have now closed, as of 8 February 2022. Any applications received after this deadline will be treated as late.  For more information on Sixth Form or to make a late application, please click here to view our dedicated page. 

Students who wish to study at our Sixth Form need to meet a minimum standard of education in their GCSE examinations as set out below and in our Sixth Form Prospectus, and also a minimum grade for their course as set out in the Course Guide for the relevant year. 

Entry Requirements:

Students wishing to attend Caroline Chisholm Sixth Form can follow one of two pathways:

Pathway 1: Students may choose to study three A Levels from our complete range of subjects. We require that students have achieved all the following:

  • A minimum GCSE grade 5 (or equivalent) in at least five subjects;
  • A minimum of grade 5 in one of their English subjects and a minimum of grade 4 in the other; and
  • A minimum of grade 4 in Maths.

Pathway 2: Students may choose to study a Diploma (equivalent to two A Levels) in either Business or Health and Social Care and choose one other A level from a range of subjects. We require that students have achieved all of the following:

  • A minimum GCSE grade 4 (or equivalent) in at least five subjects;
  • A minimum of grade 4 in both English Literature and Language; and
  • A minimum of grade 4 in Maths;

When deciding on their chosen pathway, as well as the entry criteria, students should also consider the individual subject recommendations (sixth form course guide) before finalising choices.  Please also make sure you have read and understood information relating to the pathways and the applications process before making your application.
