It’s has been a fairly quiet week across the school, with lots of revision sessions going on behind the scenes. Primary SATs have been the main focus, which have now concluded. Whilst it can be a somewhat daunting time for the students, I would like to commend each of you on how remarkably well you have coped with this new challenge. Also, a thank you to our Year 6 class teachers and all primary staff involved in preparing and supporting the cohort during this time. Our U12 girls football team were also victorious on Thursday and crowned County Cup winners! It was an intense game for all as they faced Kettering Buccleuch Academy for the final round of the tournament. The girls played incredibly well, and their dedication, talent and hard work shone throughout the entire game to secure a 4-3 win. Fantastic job girls, well done you all! (Pictured above, right) I am pleased to end this week’s edition with some superb news of fundraising initiatives that have taken place across the school recently. CCS Friends have been transforming pupils’ amazing artistic creations into keepsakes in aid of the King’s Coronation, which raised £240 for the school and our breaktime bake sale today also raised £120 for the Northampton Hope Centre. As always, a huge thank you to our school community for continuing to support these brilliant causes. Warm regards, David James |

Just over a week to go until our Year 4 children get to experience an incredible history-rich residential trip, focused on British History. Lots in the itinerary including becoming a Roman for the day, exploring York’s stunning city walls and visits to the York Chocolate Story Museum (a usual firm favourite!) and the excellent Jorvik Viking Centre. |
