Dear parents/carers,
Please see below the letter for your child's year group to read further details on our Meet the Tutor Event and specific booking information for Edulink.
All secondary parents, carers and students will need to be aware that on this day, the 26th January 2022, ALL Year 7 to 13 students will finish at 14:55 and therefore they will not have tutor time on that day.
Please find attached below a communication on behalf of the Secondary Progress Team regarding the latest census reports.
A change in seasons and the clocks going back brings in a new Secondary Extra-Curricular PE timetable post October half term. Please read the attached timetable carefully as there are new activities, and some have days have changed with selected year groups! Pupils do not need to book for any sessions, they can just arrive down to the PE department after school. The activities will start after school and finish at 4:15pm due to the fading light. Students taking part should make sure they are safely walking home in a group or collected by their parents/carers.
It will be great to see all Secondary students making the most of these free activities and reap the physical, mental and social rewards of Extra-Curricular PE.
We would like to share with you below a message from the DfE, reminding you that students in Year 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 should be continuing to complete their Lateral Flow Device (LFD) tests twice weekly on a Sunday evening or Monday morning, and Wednesday evening or Thursday morning. The results of each of their LFD tests should be reported both via the GOV website, and our school MS Form, links to both can be found below. Students are welcome to report the results themselves, but parents can also do this on their behalf.
With the increase in cases with variants of concern, it is important to detect cases of coronavirus to keep covid out of the classroom. While robust measures remain in place to keep students and staff safe, it is vitally important that young people at secondary school continue to test twice weekly and report the results.
We’d just like to share with you a quick reminder regarding our planned early closure day on Wednesday 26 May for Year 7-13 students. As previously communicated on Thursday 13 May, the early finish has been arranged to provide teachers with over 4 hours of uninterrupted time to moderate as they continue to work on the submission of TAGs.
The finish times for each year group on the day will be:
Year group | Finish time |
---|---|
Year 7 | 12:15pm |
Year 8 | 12:20pm |
Year 9 | 12:30pm |
Year 10 | 12:25pm |
