At our Sixth Form, students can enjoy a mixture of timetabled lessons, independent study sessions, enrichment and voluntary work and also have time to relax should they require it.

Our school facilities include state-of-the-art classrooms, laboratories and specialist-teaching facilities, including dedicated drama and music studios, science and technology and visual arts rooms. Our students benefit from their own silent study area, break-out rooms for small group work and a café area, which provides hot snacks, drinks and other refreshments during the school day.

Each student in Sixth Form can also benefit from a dedicated locker where they can charge and a store a portable wireless device (such as a laptop) to allow them to use this throughout their school day and in their studies.

Curriculum

With our curriculum and teaching, our students are ambitious, confident and creative learners who strive to be the best that they can be.

Our curriculum is designed to ensure that students are equipped with the skills and experience necessary to enable them to fulfil their life ambitions, whether it is moving onto higher education, an apprenticeship or full-time employment.

In Year 12, we take all students to a University and Apprenticeship fair to prepare them for their next steps after they leave us in Year 13, our Sixth Form team also helps students through the entire process of university applications (UCAS).

We hope that with the support of our curriculum, teaching and staff, students can feel ready and prepared as they move into a world beyond school, where they aspire to be ambitious, confident and successful, making the most of the opportunities presented to them, and even more importantly having the determination to create their own.

Sixth Form student

During Year 12 and 13, our students have the opportunity to take part in a variety of educational trips. This further enriches their studies to gain understanding through learning outside the classroom. Previous trips include Paris, Germany, Poland, Uganda and much more...
