Year 7 on-site testing - September 2021
You will have received a communication from us on Tuesday 20 July regarding our testing arrangements for September 2021. In line with Government guidance, we will be operating on-site COVID-19 testing when we re-open in September for Secondary Phase students. Testing is voluntary but staff and students are strongly encouraged to participate as testing regularly helps to reduce the spread in school and college settings through asymptomatic transmission.
Full details of the testing plan can be found within the document attached at the foot of this page.
We understand that students will be nervous about testing in September, as many of them may not have completed an LFD or PCR test before.
To help provide both parents and students with extra information on what testing will look like, and help to put students at ease before September, we have created a short video which details the testing process.
Please note, if your child has previously received a positive COVID-19 PCR test result they should not be re-tested within 90 days of that test unless they develop any new symptoms of COVID-19. This will mean that any student who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 90 days cannot take part in our testing programme.
If your child has tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 90 days, they should arrive for school 20 minutes after their tutor group's allocated time slot. This will mean they can go directly to join their group in their tutor group base room via Main Reception.
