Principal's Bulletin

Tuesday 12 September 2023

I am pleased to share with you my very first bulletin of the new school year, and what a great start it has been.

A warm welcome all parents and carers of our new Reception, Year 7 and Year 12 cohorts. I look forward to seeing how our newest learners thrive and sharing with you important updates and fantastic achievements of our students in this weekly bulletin.

With a mid-week start last week, it has only been a short amount of time for our students to get back into the swing of things, but they are all settling in well and re-adjusting to school life, with our everyday practices become normal routine already. Our youngest learners in Foundation Stage have spent the last two days with their whole class, having lots of fun exploring their new classroom and making friends, and there has been some wonderful feedback for our older students, noting their positive behaviour and attitude to learning, as they adjust to secondary school.

Lots more to come in the term ahead, with trips, parents’ evenings, our German exchange programme kicking off and much more. Key dates for the diary of upcoming events will be shared on the column to the right. Despite only being a few days into the new academic year, as you will see, our Year 7 Open Evening for 2024/25 intake is fast approaching. I invite all Year 6 parents and carers to come along on to get a deeper insight on what our secondary phase has to offer. Please do share with friends and family for those who may be interested also!

A final note from me to ask that parents refrain from parking on the main roundabout outside school, this is very dangerous and restricts emergency vehicles getting through and accessing the school site.
I hope you students enjoy their first full week back and wish you all a great week ahead in the slightly cooler temperatures.

Warm regards,

David James
Principal
