Update on Chartwells Catering and ParentPay
You will be aware that our partners, Mitie (Facilities Management) and Chartwells (Catering) have been working to upgrade systems to move to a cashless system in our canteen area, supported by ParentPay. We all believe this will provide a more modern, efficient service, and promote a risk-free environment for our students.
As Chartwells is a separate entity to the school, parents are required to have a separate Chartwells account in ParentPay. Login details were sent out prior to the summer break, with instructions on how to merge the school and Chartwells accounts to avoid the need for separate logins. The vast majority of families have successfully merged the two accounts on ParentPay although we are aware there are some still outstanding. If you still have not been able to activate your Chartwells account through ParentPay, or have misplaced the login details provided, this can only be remedied by Chartwells and we would encourage you to contact Chartwells via u96254@compass-group.co.uk.
As you will know, the system was intended to be up and running smoothly at the beginning of term, but there have been problems in doing this. We attach a statement from Mitie explaining this.
We are confident the systems have now been successfully merged and that the systems are now showing the correct balances. These should also now be visible to you via your ParentPay accounts.
We will continue to support the few students who may still continue to encounter any difficulties at the checkouts.
Students can access the funds in their account by using our biometric fingerprint system. If you have not, or do not wish to, give consent for your child’s fingerprint to be recorded, staff will be on hand to ensure they still have access to the funds loaded in your Chartwells ParentPay account at the checkouts.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for your continued patience with this and wish you all a wonderful weekend.
