Last night, three groups of Year 7 and 8 girls travelled to Moulton to play in the Hockey South Northants Netball League.

Read MoreYear 5/6 Boys Football v Olney Middle School - 16/10/23
Published 18/10/23, by Megan InnesOn Monday 16 October, the Year 5/6 football team opened their 2023/24 campaign with a fixture against Olney Middle School.
CCS took an early lead with a fantastic goal from Caleb. However, were pegged back just before the half time whistle. Olney started quickly in the second half and took a 2-1 lead which, despite the best efforts of the CCS team, they were able to hold onto. CCS will continue to play fixtures into next term and will be welcoming Wootton, Woodland View and Hackleton Primary.

Published 10/10/23, by Megan InnesIt was the first fixture of the year for our Year 7 boys on Monday 9 October, and the boys were in high spirits going into the game and started off strong, however, ended up going 1-0 down to Latimer who struck on the counter and managed to finish off the attack.
The boys fought back and managed to claim a goal going into half time 1-1. After half time, CCS went out with only winning on their mind, quickly taking back the lead 2-1. The attack from CCS was relentless, and the boys managed to finish the game strong, scoring 3 more goals and ending the game 4-1 progressing into the next round of the county cup.

Published 05/10/23, by Megan InnesOn Wednesday 4 October, our U14 girls welcomed Northampton Academy for the second round of the National Cup. The girls put in an absolutely outstanding performance, scoring 16 goals! They now advance to the third round.
Final score: CCS 16 - 0 Northampton Academy

Published 04/10/23, by Megan InnesAfter a successful season in Year 8, the now Year 9 football team kicked off their season with a national cup fixture at home against Weavers Academy on Tuesday 3 October.
CCS made a brilliant start, going 2-0 up quickly after the game started via goals from T. Goodman and C. Rosetti. Weavers hit back and scored two quickfire goals in return to take the game back to a draw. Undeterred by the setback, CCS pushed on and made it 4-2 at half-time after another goal from C. Rosetti and a great header from J. Fokou.
Weavers hit back immediately after the break to make it 4-3 and to make the game tight once again. CCS then hit their stride and scored four more goals before the final whistle with two further goals from C. Rosetti, J. Fokou and H. Mawer. Some resolute defending from the whole team including R. Southworth and O. McCarthy kept the Weavers score to 3.
The boys now progress into the next round to be played against Moulton school.

U13 Boys National Cup Football v Lincroft Academy - 20/09/23
Published 21/09/23, by Megan InnesIt was a wet and windy afternoon at Caroline Chisholm, but the boys were in high spirits, ready to play the first round of their National Cup journey. The boys started well, holding Lincroft at bay before going 1-0 down. However, a quick response from the boys saw us bring a goal back and take the game to 1-1. Some fantastic saves from Lenny F ensured us going into half time at 1-1.
A motivated group of boys went out to the second half prepared to give it 100% to try and get the victory. A quick counter attack from Lincroft saw us go 2-1 and then 3-1 down. The boys didn’t let their heads drop and brought a goal back through Toby M, taking the game to 3-2. Unfortunately, Lincroft added a further two goals taking the game to 5-2 but a 3rd goal for Toby M saw him secure his hat-trick and end the game 5-3. A massive credit to the Year 8 boys who played in the unpleasant conditions last night and gave it their all from minute 1 to minute 70. Good Luck to Lincroft in the next round!

Published 20/09/23, by Megan InnesOn Tuesday 19 September, our U17 boys hosted the Royal Latin school from Buckingham for the first round of the National Cup.
CCS boys were under par in the first half but managed to end the half level at 2-2. Despite a far improved performance in the second half, they were unable to find the net and Latin scored to progress into the next round. 2-3.
This marks the end of formal competition for these boys, many of them started playing for the school in Year 7.

Published 17/07/23, by Megan InnesIn June, the Year 8/9 hockey team won the School Games Year 8/9 District competition winning all their games against Sponne, Moulton and Magdalen. This result meant CCS qualified to represent South Northants at the School Games County Finals.
On Thursday 6 July, the team headed to Moulton College for the School Games Year 8/9 Hockey County Finals. The team were excited for the day and looking to follow on from last year’s success at the tournament. The girls played excellently, showing fantastic teamwork, enthusiasm and hockey skills to win 2 games and draw against a strong Wollaston side. The team scored 17 goals and only conceded 2 goals to be crowned County Champions!
