Year 12 student Ella N was recently selected to play a background actor in a forthcoming series ‘Phoenix Rise’ which is currently being filmed in Coventry. Ella was initially booked for half a day’s work, but they were so impressed with her that she was asked to stay all day and has since done several more days filming.

Congratulations to Ella – we look forward to watching her on BBC iPlayer sometime next year!

  • West End Musical Theatre - Owen F

    Published 21/11/22

Year 13 student Owen successfully auditioned for the London based West End Musical Theatre group in the summer and started training with them in September. All 120 students were recently asked to audition with a musical theatre solo, to be showcased when a West End performer came in to workshop with them.

Owen was one of only 4 students who was chosen, and he performed his solo – ‘Stars’ to West End Star – Alice Fearn (Come From Away, Wicked) who stopped him after the workshop to tell him how impressed she was with his performance. Huge congratulations to Owen!

  • Junior Strictly Northampton success for Year 5&6

    Published 16/11/22

On Saturday 12 November, we entered two teams from Year 5 and 6 into the final of the Junior Strictly Northampton competition. In the morning, both teams competed against 14 other schools from Northampton. Our red team placed 1st, advancing to the next round, and our yellow team placed 2nd 🎉

Following their 1st place win in the morning, the red team came back to compete in the afternoon against the winners of the second round of the competition final, of which there were 12 schools.

We were up first to dance, and it was very very close and literally came down to a finger. The red team danced very well considering they had been there 6 hours but unfortunately, Woodland View just beat us, and we took home 2nd place. A massive well done to the red team for securing a 2nd place win out of all 26 teams involved - a brilliant result!

Both teams had a great time at the competition and both me and Mrs Honeywood are very proud of them! The teams trained extremely hard for the competition. Practising 2 nights after school and most lunchtimes, well done to you all for your incredible hard work.

We would like to say a special thank you to Rose D, Holly S and Ollie H (an ex-student and brother of Jasmine who competed) for giving up their time to come and help train both teams.

  • Learning to fly (a view over the school)

    Published 04/11/22

What an amazing experience our Year 10 student Kian had recently.  He was fortunate to have been gifted a flying experience a few months ago in Brackley with Turweston Flying Club. It was a gift from his family for his birthday, but has been an incredible experience and something he highly recommends to anyone.
