Ambition Confidence Success
Caroline Chisholm is an oversubscribed, academically successful school that strives to develop young people into ambitious, highly successful, happy and resilient young adults. We make learning enjoyable from reception year right up to the sixth form. We provide a challenging academic curriculum, coupled with a very supportive pastoral system that values the strengths and talents of the individual student.
Ambition Confidence Success
Caroline Chisholm School was the UK’s first purpose built all-through school which opened in state-of-the-art facilities in 2004. The school is a dynamic, successful and highly over-subscribed academy with over 2000 students on roll, of which 420 pupils are in the primary phase and around 300 students in the Sixth form. Our facilities include an extensive Design & Technology department which includes a wood workshop, textile and state of the art cookery rooms, and an electronics studio, IT suites, a bespoke visual art area and gallery and a sixth form centre.

Due to COVID-19, we've had to rethink our approach to our Christmas Nativity and this year we will be sharing a digital copy of the play to all FS parents in the coming weeks. We've started filming today and it's been lovely to see the children perform so well in their scenes! https://t.co/se6jUXpte7

@CllrWRandall Please feel free to contact the school and ask for Vice Principal Gary Wakefield if you would like to discuss further. (3/3)
@CllrWRandall When we report a case, we are asked to identify close contacts of the student if they have been in school 2 days before their symptoms started. Due to our robust safety measures, this has meant we have managed to limit contact, without sending home a class or year group. (2/3)
@CllrWRandall Hi Wendy, our confirmed COVID-19 cases amount to just 0.7% of our student population and after every case we have asked for and followed the advice given from PHE and the DfE. We don't believe this guidance is unclear. (1/3)

We are extremely proud of Year 13 student Charlie Atkins who won the Special Recognition Award at the Male Role Model of the Year 2020 Awards by the Northampton Borough Council last night. He has created various projects including TEDxYouth Caroline Chisholm School and even founded his own initiative called 'Inspire your Future' with the aim to empower students with knowledge and the curiosity to learn. Congratulations Charlie!
Over the last few weeks, both GCSE and A Level Drama students have been working on their practical exams and coursework pieces. The students were hugely supportive of one another and the pieces were really enjoyable to watch. At GCSE, students have researched, created and rehearsed their work and have covered topics including: County Lines, peer pressure, Malala Yousafzai, PTSD and much more. Our A Level students have recently performed duologues from Jim Cartwright's 'Road' and Samuel Beckett's 'Waiting for Godot' and a monologue from 'Agnes of God' by John Pielmeier. Well done to all students - your perseverance, hard work and determination does not got unnoticed.
After a week of hard work and determination by our 157 Year 10 Linguistics students competing in the Vocab Express League of Champions, we are proud to announce that we have placed 2nd best school in the world! We also ranked 1st place in the German category, 2nd for Spanish and 4th for French. Students have been competing in their own time at home and during break and lunchtime. What a fantastic effort to all students who took part.
Today is Odd Socks Day 2020, and all students have been invited to wear odd socks in celebration of their uniqueness, and they did not disappoint! It has been fantastic to see so many students (and teachers ) get involved with this initiative as part of Anti-Bullying Week 2020.

“Every teacher I have is incredibly passionate in the subject they teach. We engage with them, because they engage us. They want to be with us in the classroom.”
At Caroline Chisholm School we are very proud of our Alumni. Our students go on to achieve in a wide range of fields and often say that the work ethic, social skills and confidence they develop during their time with us has helped them in their careers.
We always enjoy hearing from our Alumni and If you recently finished with us in the last 5 years, we'd love to hear how you're getting on!
